Heaton Park is one of the largest parks in the North West, boasting over 600 acres. It is easily accessible by car or public transport. Our dedicated parking is at the Sheepfoot Lane car park, Prestwich, M25 2SW. The Dinosaurs in the Park entrance is a 20-minute walk through the park, you will find us not too far from Heaton Hall, just follow the giant arrows! Reminder: After the very rainy weather this week the Overflow car park at Sheepfoot Lane will remain closed for the time being, the ground conditions are being monitored daily and the car park will be re-opened as soon as possible.
Ticket prices start as low as £7.20 per person. Under 3's go free!
Opening from Friday 19th July until Sunday 4th August 2024
Please remember there are other car parks available for use but the best way to get to Heaton Park & Hall is by public transport. Plan your route here https://tfgm.com/ visit the Facebook page Transport for Greater Manchester
Other car parks are located around the park and may offer a shorter walk to our event for those less able or with our younger visitors. Details of parking at Heaton Park can be found here. https://www.manchester.gov.uk/info/500318/heaton_park/6912/map_of_heaton_park
Please be aware that due to recent very wet weather, the ground is soft underfoot and we advise all visitors to wear suitable footwear. Although every care is taken to ensure the safety of our visitors, there are some trip hazards like fallen branches and wet leaves throughout the trail so parents/carers are advised to ensure that their children move safely around the Dinosaur trail.
The trails are set within woodland which may be difficult to access in a wheelchair. Please note, that in case of heavy rain, event fields might become quite sodden making it harder to use a wheelchair.
Unfortunately, we do not allow pets to enter the event.
Book any time slot after 3pm and receive 20% off your ticket(s).
